It is yours and yours alone. 1 Corinthians 2:9 states, “Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, nor has it entered into the hearts of man the things which God has prepared for those that love him.” You are the undeniable, real deal, #1, best-selling winner, and “It” was given to you. What untold stories are bearing on the inside of you that needs to be shared, seen, and experienced with the world?
I was reflecting on a time in my life when a young lady who is very dear to my heart was sentenced to one year in federal prison because she made a mistake by listening to someone she believed to be a trusted friend. If you have ever accepted the advice of someone you trusted and they let you down, then you understand.
Her life did not start that way. She was a successful business owner, wife, and mother of three beautiful children, but she made a mistake. I went to visit this young lady. I told her regardless of how the world has labeled her because of her current situation, she’s still valuable. I watched her as tears began to fall from her eyes as she cried out, “What about the shame I have brought to my family, my husband, and my children? I’m going to do better; I’m going to do better!” I told her, “The Lord himself will go before you, and He will not leave you.” Her current situation did not dictate her current possibilities or her future possibilities, and neither will yours. Even if you can’t see it for yourself, you are the catalyst that God has created for the world.
That young lady served her time and developed a hunger for success and declared that she would not be denied, and neither will you. Why? Because you’ve spent many hours dreaming and looking in the mirror, wondering, “Can I do this?” You deserve this. You know you have the gifts, the skills, the talents, and the abilities. Don’t allow the fear of failure to cause you to sit on the sidelines of life. Before you know it, a year has passed, five years have passed, a decade has passed and you’re still wondering, “Can I do this?” Yes, you can do this. It was created for you.
